Volleyball Recap: Corydon Central's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Corydon Central had to endure an 11-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Southwestern Rebels on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Corydon Central got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 12-25, 15-5.

Corydon Central found their leader in sophomore Khloe Kraft, who had 21 assists and three aces.

Corydon Central picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-12. As for Southwestern, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Corydon Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Tell City on the 13th. As for Southwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Christian Academy on the 13th.
