Volleyball Recap: Ripon's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Ripon was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Manteca on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodcreek Timberwolves on Friday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Timberwolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Ripon ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ripon fell to 2-1. As for Woodcreek, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Ripon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Churchill County on the 29th. As for Woodcreek, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Rocky Mountain on the 29th.
