Football Recap: Vernon's Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Richland last Thursday, Vernon came back down to earth. The Lions took a 29-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paradise Panthers on Friday. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Although Vernon took the loss, they still got scores from Ty Scott, Tyce Payne, and Jamari Chance.

Having lost for the first time this season, Vernon fell to 4-1. As for Paradise, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Vernon will take on rival Ponder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Vernon 11, Ponder 10.8) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Paradise is set to face off against their familiar foe Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
