Football Recap: Millbrook Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Millbrook lost against Loudoun County back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pioneers fell 28-21 to the Captains. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while the Captains are ranked 41st).

Montez Dyson was nothing short of spectacular for Loudoun County: he rushed for 267 yards and two scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelton Brown, who threw for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.

Millbrook now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Loudoun County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millbrook will welcome Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Pioneers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Loudoun County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Tuscarora at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
