Baseball Recap: Timpview Comes Up Short

Timpview extended their losing streak to 11 on Friday, dropping them down to 7-17. They lost 24-0 to the Pleasant Grove Vikings. Considering the last time the Thunderbirds couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Pleasant Grove's part, Ryder Huntsman was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave Huntsman a new career-high. Drew Jensen also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

While Timpview had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
