Boulder Creek won the last time they faced Cesar Chavez and things went their way on Friday too. The Boulder Creek Jaguars walked away with a 66-54 win over the Cesar Chavez Champions. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Boulder Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrew Bhesania, who posted 12 points and eight boards. Bhesania is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeehzus Pagan, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points and eight assists.

Boulder Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.

Cesar Chavez lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gabriel Briones, who went 7 of 17 en route to 18 points. What's more, Briones also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Drayce Crenshaw was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 13 points and six boards.

Boulder Creek pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points per game. As for Cesar Chavez, their record is now 8-10.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Boulder Creek Jaguars face off against the Liberty Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Boulder Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten games.
