Volleyball Recap: Doniphan West Takes a Loss

Doniphan West lost against Centralia on September 2nd and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Doniphan West sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 18-25, 25-19.

Centralia's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Keelyn Rempe, who had 20 assists and four digs. With that strong performance, Rempe is now averaging an impressive 12.3 assists per game. Another player making a difference was Jaysa Becker, who had 12 assists and six digs.

Doniphan West's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Centralia, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

Doniphan West has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Horton on the 20th. As for Centralia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Jackson Heights on the 20th.
