Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only University Prep walked away with it. They skirted past the Colusa RedHawks 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the RedHawks on Thursday, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Hailey Pebley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madisyn Rubalcava, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Leigha Wood, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

University Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Colusa, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-8.

As of now, neither University Prep nor the RedHawks have any future games scheduled.
