Basketball Recap: Florence Huskies vs. Manitou Springs Mustangs

After flying high against James Irwin last Thursday, Florence came back down to earth. The Florence Huskies were beaten by the Manitou Springs Mustangs 72-39 on Wednesday. The Huskies were probably out for revenge after losing 63-49 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jaret Lozano and Noah Howard certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Lozano dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds, while Howard posted 15 points. Lozano is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Trevor Wrast also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.
