Basketball Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

After flying high against Clayton last Friday, Sterling came back down to earth. The Sterling Silver Knights fell just short of the Eastern Vikings by a score of 50-48 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Silver Knights have suffered since January 10th.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Eastern, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Sterling will be playing at home against Woodbury at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodbury knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Sterling likes a good challenge. As for Eastern, they will venture away from home to square off against Seneca at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
