Soccer Recap: Clairemont Takes a Loss

Clairemont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Kearny Komets, falling 5-0. The Chieftains were not able to make up for their loss to the Komets from their previous meeting back in January of 2023.

Clairemont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Kearny, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clairemont will welcome Hoover at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Kearny, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Mission Bay at 6:00 p.m. Mission Bay is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.
