Basketball Recap: Rangeview Comes Up Short

Rangeview lost against Denver East back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rangeview Raiders came up short against the Denver East Angels, falling 56-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Raiders have suffered against the Angels since January 27, 2020.

Denver East's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evelina Otto, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. The match was Otto's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Hall, who went 6 of 13 en route to 17 points and four steals.

Rangeview's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Denver East, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.

Rangeview has already played their next game, a 61-54 loss against Vista PEAK Prep on the 28th. As for Denver East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 80-63 victory against Northfield on the 29th.
