Basketball Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

Augusta managed to keep up with Whitehall until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Augusta Beavers came up short against the Whitehall Norse, falling 85-60. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Norse this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-56 back in January.

This is the second loss in a row for Augusta and nudges their season record down to 3-18. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Whitehall, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14.

Looking ahead, Augusta will challenge Pepin/Alma at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Whitehall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
