Volleyball Game Preview: St. Mary's Ryken Knights vs. Bishop McNamara Mustangs

The St. Mary's Ryken Knights will take on the Bishop McNamara Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

St. Mary's Ryken is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Thursday. They came up short against The Academy of the Holy Cross, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-9.

Meanwhile, Bishop McNamara lost 3-0 to St. John's on Thursday.

Bishop McNamara was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-15.

St. Mary's Ryken's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bishop McNamara, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

St. Mary's Ryken came out on top in a nail-biter against Bishop McNamara when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
