Recap: Shorecrest Prep Chargers vs. Braden River Pirates
This season hasn't been kind to the Shorecrest Prep Chargers, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They were beaten by Braden River 34-6 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Shorecrest Prep has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Leading Braden River to victory were Kelis Mcgrady and Emily Dalton. Mcgrady scored four points along with ten rebounds and three steals, while Dalton scored ten points along with nine rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trinity Myrick, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Shorecrest Prep bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Braden River, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.
Shorecrest Prep will head out on the road to take on Countryside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Braden River won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Winthrop College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th.
