Recap: Kenesaw Blue Devils vs. Lawrence-Nelson Raiders
The Kenesaw Blue Devils came into Thursday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 35-24 win over Lawrence-Nelson on Thursday. For Kenesaw, this counts as revenge for the 36-30 loss Lawrence-Nelson walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Kenesaw found their leader in underclassman Sophia Schukei, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schukei has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bentley Olson, who scored three points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Kenesaw's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.
Kenesaw will head out on the road to take on Bertrand at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lawrence-Nelson, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Superior at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Superior is coming into the game with three straight victories on the road, meaning Lawrence-Nelson will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
