Amarillo is a perfect 5-0 against Lubbock since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Amarillo Sandies will challenge the Lubbock Westerners at 5:00 p.m. Amarillo is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Amarillo's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Caprock. The win was all the more spectacular given the Sandies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Longhorns are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lubbock, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Tascosa 1-0.

Amarillo now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Lubbock, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-10.

Amarillo was able to grind out a solid win over Lubbock in their previous meeting back in January, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Amarillo since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
