Softball Recap: Ridge Spring-Monetta Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Ridge Spring-Monetta finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They fell just short of the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers by a score of 1-0. The Trojans have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Ridge Spring-Monetta's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Batesburg-Leesville, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.

Looking ahead, Ridge Spring-Monetta will challenge Augusta Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. Batesburg-Leesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
