Soccer Game Preview: Gridley vs. Orland

The Gridley Bulldogs will challenge the Orland Trojans at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gridley will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Gridley's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over Oroville. Gridley might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Orland's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. Neither they nor Corning could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result kept Orland happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 10, 2025.

Orland's draw makes their record 7-3-1 this season. As for Gridley, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.

Gridley was able to grind out a solid victory over Orland when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 2-0. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
