Softball Game Preview: Seneca Golden Eagles vs. Rancocas Valley Red Devils

Seneca has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Rancocas Valley has won six straight on the road also dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will host the Red Devils at 10:00 a.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Seneca 4, Rancocas Valley 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Seneca's offense. They lost 13-0 to St. Joseph on Saturday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Golden Eagles, who until this contest were averaging four runs allowed.

Seneca saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Heller, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Rancocas Valley made easy work of Eastern on Friday and carried off a 14-1 victory.

Having lost for the first time this season, Seneca fell to 4-1. As for Rancocas Valley, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Seneca might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Rancocas Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Golden Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
