Basketball Recap: Molina Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Molina took on Hillcrest on Monday. The Molina Jaguars lost 64-42 to the Hillcrest Panthers. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Hillcrest's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saivon Johnson, who went 9 of 14 en route to 21 points along with six boards and three steals. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Komarion Callahan, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 18 points and four steals.

Molina's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Hillcrest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Molina has already played their next game (against South Oak Cliff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hillcrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-46 defeat against White on the 14th.
