Football Recap: Sprayberry Piles Up the Points Against Riverwood + How To Watch

Sprayberry's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the Riverwood Raiders 49-0. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Raiders are ranked 292nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sprayberry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ian Hulbert, who rushed for 112 yards and one score on only seven carries. That's the most rushing yards Hulbert has posted since back in September of 2024. Another back making a difference was Jrue Keeling, who rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Sprayberry's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Riverwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Sprayberry and Riverwood will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Yellow Jackets see the field they'll take on Creekview at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Riverwood, their break will end when they face River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
