Basketball Recap: Lambert/Richey Comes Up Short

Lambert/Richey and Culbertson squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lambert/Richey had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 69-31 loss at the hands of the Culbertson Cowboys. The R&L Fusion haven't had much luck with the Cowboys recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Bridger Salvevold went supernova for Culbertson, going 9-for-17 to rack up 19 points and five boards. The contest was Salvevold's third in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Deen, who went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points.

Lambert/Richey's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Culbertson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-7.

Lambert/Richey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Culbertson, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Savage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Culbertson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
