Volleyball Recap: Workman Comes Up Short

Workman was the 3-0 winner over La Puente when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Lobos fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Lobos' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Workman wouldn't go down easily and took La Puente into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 18-25, 15-12.

Workman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for La Puente, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Workman will head out to face off against Bassett at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for La Puente, they will challenge Ganesha at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Giants will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
