Basketball Recap: Milwaukee Lutheran Takes a Loss

Milwaukee Lutheran lost against St. Catherine back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Milwaukee Lutheran Red Knights took a 61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Catherine's Angels. The Red Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. Catherine's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayda King, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. King has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last eight times she's played. Laila Collier-White was another key player, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds.

Milwaukee Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for St. Catherine's, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Milwaukee Lutheran won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Shorewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Catherine's, they will venture away from home to take on St. Thomas More at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
