Softball Recap: Memphis Central Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Memphis Central's offense. They lost 18-0 to the Collierville Dragons on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost three in a row.

Memphis Central's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Collierville, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memphis Central will challenge Kingsbury at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Collierville, they will face off against Arlington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
