Baseball Game Preview: Muir Mustangs vs. Western Christian Fighting Lancers

The Muir Mustangs will challenge the Western Christian Fighting Lancers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Western Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Muir, who comes in off a win.

Muir's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Duarte as Muir made off with a 9-0 victory. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Conrad Hunziker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Donovan Williams was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Luca Cano was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Western Christian kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 5-2 to Cornerstone Christian.
