Belton's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Raytown South Cardinals. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Belton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-12.

Charlie Beal paced Belton's offense, picking up 20 kills. Beal got some help from Artem Postoienko and his three assists. Zane Richard controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Belton's win bumped their record up to 14-17-2. As for Raytown South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Belton nor Raytown South have any future games scheduled.
