Baseball Recap: Donna Find Success

Donna hadn't done well against Porter recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Donna Redskins came out on top against the Porter Cowboys by a score of 9-4. This was a revenge game for the Redskins: when they faced off against the Cowboys last Tuesday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Donna got a big performance out of Roydaniel Gomez, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That stolen base was Gomez's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Sanchez, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Donna now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Porter, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Donna will venture away from home to face off against Donna North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Porter, they will welcome Mercedes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mercedes has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.43 runs per game on average), something Porter will no doubt try to take advantage of.
