Preview: Hermitage Panthers vs. J.R. Tucker Tigers
Hermitage is 9-1 against J.R. Tucker since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Hermitage Panthers will get right back to it and host the J.R. Tucker Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Hermitage pushed their score all the way to 59 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 63-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Godwin.
Meanwhile, J.R. Tucker came up short against Glen Allen on Tuesday and fell 53-41. J.R. Tucker has struggled against Glen Allen recently, as their match on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Hermitage's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for J.R. Tucker, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.
Everything came up roses for Hermitage against J.R. Tucker in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 64-37 win. Does Hermitage have another victory up their sleeve, or will J.R. Tucker turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
