Mathews is 7-1 against Windham since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Mustangs are taking a road trip to take on the Bombers at 4:30 p.m. Mathews' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Windham's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Mathews is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Marysville just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Monarchs by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since May 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Windham didn't have quite enough to beat Bloomfield on Wednesday and fell 5-4.

Breille Jones and Skylar Bailey stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jones went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Bailey went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. That double was Bailey's first of the season. Alexandria Hudak was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Windham's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Mathews, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Everything went Mathews' way against Windham when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Mathews made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Bombers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
