            Basketball Recap: Wilby Wildcats vs. Holy Cross Crusaders        
        
		
        
        
            Wilby entered their  game against Holy Cross  on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wilby Wildcats were dealt  a  62-32 defeat at the hands of the Holy Cross Crusaders. The  contest marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring  match so far this season.

 Wilby's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Ja'Nell Saunders, who  dropped  a double-double on ten  points and 11  boards. Saunders has been hot, having  posted ten or more  rebounds the last five times she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Raine Upchurch, who  went 6 for 15  en route to 13 points.
Wilby's defeat  ended  a  six-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 8-4. As for Holy Cross, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Wilby wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  game,  a  44-43  loss against Watertown on the 24th. Holy Cross has also  already played their next contest,  a  75-41  victory against Oxford on the 23rd.
