Football Recap: Boulder Comes Up Short

Boulder played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 56-27 defeat at the hands of the Silver Creek Raptors. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raptors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Despite the loss, Boulder still got an impressive performance from Ethan Toth, who rushed for 54 yards and three scores, and also threw for 156 yards and three TDs. Jack Neslage also helped out with an impressive 91 receiving yards.

Nolan Gaccetta went supernova For Silver Creek., rushing for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 223 yards and three TDs while completing 72.2% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Gaccetta a new career-high in passer rating (153.5). Eli Stubbs was another key player, gaining 92 total yards and two touchdowns.

Boulder's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Silver Creek, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Boulder will host Fairview at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Silver Creek, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Longmont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
