Recap: Simla Cubs vs. Limon Badgers

The Simla Cubs won the last time they faced the Limon Badgers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Simla enjoyed a cozy 51-36 victory over Limon. The win made it back-to-back wins for Simla.

Simla's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carlee Cox, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kylie Brickell, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Several Badgers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jentri Marx, who scored six points along with six rebounds and five blocks. Marx is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Humphrey, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.

Simla's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Limon, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Simla will be playing at home against Akron at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Akron is ranked 66th, while Simla is ranked 70th). As for Limon, they will head out on the road to face off against Colorado Springs School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
