Cambridge had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Arapahoe Warriors on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-19, 25-10.

Brooklyn Holtze paced Cambridge's offense, picking up 19 kills. Holtze got some help from Mallory Springer and her 18 assists. Springer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Elisabeth Kubik, racking up two apiece.

Arapahoe's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, Cambridge will square off against Wauneta-Palisade at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Arapahoe, they will face off against Hitchcock County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
