Point Pleasant Boro faced Jackson Memorial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Jaguars a 1-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Point Pleasant Boro pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jackson Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
