Baseball Game Preview: Plain Dealing Lions vs. Glenbrook Apaches

Plain Dealing hasn't had much luck against Glenbrook recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Plain Dealing Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Glenbrook Apaches at 6:00 p.m. Plain Dealing has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Plain Dealing lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bossier, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's match. Plain Dealing put the hurt on Bossier with a sharp 19-12 win on Saturday. The Lions not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, Glenbrook fell victim to North DeSoto and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 6-0 to the Griffins. The game marked the first time this season in which the Apaches were not able to get on the board.

Glenbrook saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Waller, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Plain Dealing's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Glenbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1.

Plain Dealing suffered a grim 17-0 defeat to Glenbrook when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Plain Dealing avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
