Soccer Recap: Chippewa Takes a Loss

Chippewa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Rootstown Rovers, falling 7-1. Chippewa were not able to make up for their loss to Rootstown from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Chippewa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Rootstown, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chippewa will take on Smithville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Smithville's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Rootstown, they will square off against Wickliffe at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
