Basketball Recap: T.L. Hanna Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

T.L. Hanna had won three straight home games dating back to last season and Harmoni Earl did her part to make it four on Friday. The T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets walked away with a 50-40 win over the Mauldin Mavericks thanks in part to Earl, who went 6 of 11 on her way to 21 points and seven rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played dating back to last season.

Ella Couch was another key player, putting up seven points and five rebounds. What's more, she also racked up two steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Zaria Jones and Zara Leamon certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Jones posted 12 points and five steals, while Leamon had 14 points and eight rebounds. Jones is becoming a predictor of Mauldin's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 7-1 (and 1-2 when she doesn't).

T.L. Hanna is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Mauldin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-3.

T.L. Hanna and Mauldin should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. T.L. Hanna (ranked 35th) will meet Hillcrest (ranked 188th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Mauldin (ranked 19th) will meet Easley (ranked 203rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
