Basketball Recap: Hansen Huskies vs. Carey Panthers
Hansen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Carey Panthers 60-30. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-40 back in January.
Carey was led to victory by Carter Olsen and Will Parke. Olsen went 8 of 15 en route to 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Parke almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Olsen a new career-high in points. Brody Quillin was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.
Hansen's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Carey, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.
Coming up, Hansen will face off against Hagerman at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Carey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
