Softball Recap: Milton-Union Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Milton-Union came into Tuesday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Bethel Bees 17-1 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

Campbell Berner tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sofie Elliott, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Bella Brazina, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Milton-Union was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Milton-Union's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-11. As for Bethel, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
