Basketball Game Preview: Purvis Tornadoes vs. Perry Central Bulldogs

The Purvis Tornadoes are taking a road trip to take on the Perry Central Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Purvis has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Perry Central will arrive with four straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Purvis ended up a good deal behind Columbia and lost 66-48.

Despite the defeat, Purvis had strong showings from Zoey Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards, and Noa Bolar, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. Robinson is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Breleigh Adkins was another key player, putting up seven points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

While Perry Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Mount Olive 45-8 on Tuesday.

Purvis' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Perry Central, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5.
