Valley View lost to Chico back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Eagles walked away with a 46-38 win over the Dragons.

Despite the loss, Chico still got an impressive performance from Jordan Weiland, who went 11-for-22 to rack up 29 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. Weiland has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 44 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Talon Smith, who posted four points along with six boards and four steals.

Valley View's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Chico, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Valley View will challenge Bangs at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chico, they will square off against Bridgeport at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday.
