Baseball Recap: NSU University Comes Up Short

NSU University entered their contest against Pine Crest on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The NSU University Sharks fell 4-1 to the Pine Crest Panthers. The matchup marked the Sharks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tevvy Rabinowitz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He also put up two walks, which were his first of the season.

At the plate, NSU University saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Rosa, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 8-2. As for Pine Crest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1-1.

NSU University will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. Similarly, Pine Crest (ranked 74th) will meet West Boca Raton (ranked 306th) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. NSU University is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
