After a string of five wins, Chartiers Valley's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 9-5 to the South Fayette Lions. Surprisingly, this marked the Colts' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Chartiers Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney O'Connor, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Chartiers Valley's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for South Fayette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Chartiers Valley will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Moon Area at 3:30 p.m. The Colts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for South Fayette, they will challenge Montour at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
