Football Recap: San Diego Vaqueros vs. George West Longhorns
San Diego kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 36-21 fall against the George West Longhorns. The Vaqueros were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Kohen Blount had a dynamite game For George West., rushing for 121 yards and a pair of scores. Blount didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made three total tackles.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Diego will face off against Rockport-Fulton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for George West, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Mathis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
