Brillion strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Two Rivers Purple Raiders by a score of 6-1. Those six runs were actually the fewest the Lions have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Grace Krueger was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Kennadie Ott was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Ella Kuchenbecker, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Brillion's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Two Rivers, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2.
