Baseball Game Preview: Burnet Bulldogs vs. Gateway College Preparatory Gators

For the second straight game, Burnet will face off against Gateway College Preparatory. The Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Burnet is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

On Tuesday, Burnet was able to grind out a solid victory over Gateway College Preparatory, taking the game 13-8.

For Gateway College Preparatory's part, Justus Franke and Andres Garza-Gongora stepped up to the plate in a big way. Franke got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run, while Garza-Gongora went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brennan Partlow, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Burnet pushed their record up to 13-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Gateway College Preparatory, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
