Football Recap: Garden City Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Garden City extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 28-27 heartbreaker at the hands of the Melvindale Cardinals. The Cougars were up 20-6 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Garden City lost, don't look at Aidan Finch. Despite the final result, he rushed for 111 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries.

Melvindale's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. The win almost wasn't to be: they were down 20-6 in the second quarter.

Terrell Crawford Ii was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 145 yards and one TD while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 155 yards and one touchdown.
