Softball Recap: Groton-Dunstable Comes Up Short

Groton-Dunstable fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Algonquin Regional on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 13-4 to the Titans. The Crusaders just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Bridget Houle was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. Aubrey Leedberg also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Groton-Dunstable's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for Algonquin Regional, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Groton-Dunstable will square off against Lunenburg at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Algonquin Regional, they will head out to square off against Gardner at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
